Competitor Opportunity
If an indie hacker wanted to build a better alternative, they should prioritize a mobile experience with reliable web and identifier-based reference capture, robust full-text search within documents, and essential annotation tools like highlighting. Additionally, offering more flexible storage options (local-only) and an anonymous mode would cater to user control and privacy preferences.
